Where I Come From

On our literature class we were asked to create a stanza about our city. We were inspired in the poem Where I Come From by Elizabeth Brewster, which we analysed in class. Here is my stanza:

In my place you can hear the sound of the train,
You can feel the vibrations of the cars,
My place is full of green, of life, of energy.
My place is plenty of  smiling faces of
children playing in the square,
The smell of the flowers that never change,
The cold breeze waits for me when I get home,
The big yellow star that gives me light,
And in the night the white stars cover me to have a good night
The smell of the white moon embraces the houses.

Like this is my home, the home that I want.
A very calmy place
to live.
